About ME

My Story

Hi, I’m Joo, a dedicated mum of four and a passionate advocate for those navigating life with invisible chronic illnesses.

My personal journey with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) has been both challenging and enlightening.

After years of debilitating symptoms and feeling dismissed by the healthcare system, the relief and validation I felt once I was diagnosed was overwhelming and sparked a deep desire to make a difference for others facing similar struggles.

It is now my aim to help others with similar conditions.

My Mission

As an Integrative Health Coach, qualified through the College of Naturopathic Medicine, I am committed to supporting you in managing your chronic condition.

My mission is inspired by my own experiences, centred on alleviating unnecessary suffering, offering empathetic validation, and providing comprehensive support.

I am here to ensure that you never feel alone on your journey

From navigating the healthcare system and coaching you to self-advocate, to fostering a positive mindset and guiding lifestyle changes, my goal is to collaborate with you, educating and empowering you to regain control of your symptoms.

Why Work with Me?

My personal battle with hEDS and POTS has given me unique insights and a deep understanding of what it means to live with a chronic illness.

I know first-hand the frustration of being told “it’s all in your head” and the isolation that can come from feeling misunderstood.

In addition to my health coaching qualifications, I serve as the EDS UK Area Coordinator for Woking, where I run support groups and provide help to individuals impacted by EDS at the grassroots level. This role has given me an in-depth understanding of the true needs and pain points of those with EDS, and I have been working tirelessly to find practical solutions.

A significant part of my work involves improving the healthcare system through patient advocacy and education. I firmly believe that an educated patient can pave the way to advancements in healthcare, addressing the current lack of awareness and understanding of chronic conditions like EDS.

I am also trauma-informed, having completed training with The Centre for Healing. This foundation allows me to approach coaching with greater sensitivity, compassion, and awareness of how past trauma can impact health and recovery. It shapes the safe, non-judgmental space I create for clients, where emotional and physical wellbeing are equally prioritised

Additionally, with over 10 years experience in the corporate world, working in people-centred roles, involved in employee support networks, launching successful women’s groups, and winning awards for diversity and inclusion, helping people is really at the core of what I love to do.

Trusted Partnerships

Living with complex conditions like hEDS, HSD, or chronic pain often means navigating a fragmented system alone. I believe truly effective care comes from collaboration—not isolation. That’s why I work closely with a trusted network of independent specialists, physios, and osteopaths. When more targeted support is needed, I refer directly, no gatekeeping, just the right care at the right time. Together, we provide coordinated, compassionate support that sees the whole you, not just your symptoms.
